Jen Kirkman was a great choice for an opener; she has a very sharp sense of humor and irony. Her brain must have at least one or two computer chips, as her reaction time was warp-speed. Kyle Smith was soooo funny.
Kudos to the Wang Theatre for holding the show’s start until most people had gotten their refreshments. The refreshment lines were horrendous. However the multiple ushers directing us to our seats were very helpful. Maybe also Kyle Smith?
This was the second show. While Kyle seemed a bit buzzed, no one would have guessed that they were tired. How these 2 people did two shows with only 1 ½ - 2-hour rest is beyond me. Admittedly, I expected that.
The only downside was due to my own lack of direction and probably my ADD as I could not locate where Kyle Smith might be signing books.
Having a slide show with images from her trips was great. Except there was one image that will require me to view millions of cutesy and syrupy postings online to unsee that one image that Kyle Smith kept clicking onto the screen.
I recommend people attend her standup. Just a caveat, be sure that you have seen at least one or two episodes of her TV show (Chelsea Lately) and checked out some of her books. Laugh and have a good time, go to her standup, I did.
